Participants: 337exhibitors from 14 countries
This show, in which 330 companies, six governments and one association are going to participate from 14 countries, is an all-inclusive show covering passenger cars, commercial vehicles, special-purpose vehicles, motorcycles, parts and related equipment; a showcase of state-of-the-art technologies and products. Switzerland will participate for the first time in the motorcycle section. Six countries, U.S., Canada, France, Belgium, Germany and Austria will again participate.
All Makuhari Messe facilities will be used, including the newly constructed New North Hall, increasing the exhibition area to 48,693m2, a little larger than the previous show (47,941m2). Within the constrained exhibition area, particular considerations were given to increase the foreign passenger section and the parts section when assigning the space.

Special Event - 1 "Great Cars in Memorable Movies" at the Theme Hall
The thematic exhibit is an extension of the show's overall theme of the connection between people and cars. The hall will offer (1)a corner for enjoying memorable movies that gave us excitement, dreams and enjoyment together with 19 U.S. and European cars in the famed films (17 four-wheelers and 2 motorcycles); (2)a corner to present videos, posters, and stills for the movies for which it is impossible to show cars; and (3)a corner to introduce local automobile museums with an emphasis on six participating museums.
We would like to urge you to view the famed cars in memorable movies from the 1910's.

Special Event - 2 "TechnoGallery" on the 2nd Floor of the North Hall
The TechnoGallery in the North Hall, to be completed in October, will illustrate the theme, "Keys to Car Knowledge: The Quest for Enhanced Fuel Performance." Focusing on "Fuel Performance," the gallery introduces the endeavors and results of the automotive industry's research and development. There are several corners: (1)Explanation and display of technological breakthroughs that improve fuel economy through changes to engines and transmissions, and weight-saving; (2)working with users on how to improve fuel efficiency; and(3)promotional activities to prevent environmental disruption by curbing C02 emissions through improving fuel efficiency. These corners will offer a platform to actually experience the worldwide interest of energy saving and environmental protection and to feel the importance of energy performance and its effect on the environment.
