ODAIBA FESTIVAL - Tokyo Motor Week 2012 / Logo and Poster Design Decided

The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (JAMA) (Chairman: Akio Toyoda) announced on July 19, 2012 that the exciting and enjoyable “Odaiba Festival – Tokyo Motor Week 2012” will be held between October 6 through October 14, at several spots of the Odaiba area in the waterfront of Tokyo. This event aims to have visitors experience the dreams and joys brought about by automobiles and motorcycles.

The “Odaiba Festival – Tokyo Motor Week 2012 Executive Committee” was established as the organizer of the event, and planning are now proceeding with the involvement of JAMA members including 8 automobile manufactures and 3 motorcycle manufacturers; JAMA secretariat; and some member companies of the Tokyo Waterfront Urban Development Committee, which aims to revitalize the waterfront area.

The executive committee is pleased to announce the official logo and poster design of the “Odaiba Festival – Tokyo Motor Week 2012.” The logo was designed in the shape of a car, with the blue color reflecting the ocean of the Odaiba area, and the rainbow representing the excitement and energy of the people participating in the event. At the same time, the overall dynamic design shows the passion of the participating automobile and motorcycle manufactures.

The poster presents the Odaiba area as an island where there will be a “school festival,” and shows the fun and excitement the people will experiencing as they look, feel, and participate in the many hands-on, exciting events.

The events will take place mainly on October 6 (Sat), 7 (Sun), 8 (Mon/Holiday), 13 (Sat), and 14 (Sun) in the various venues in the Odaiba area – including events where the top executives from the manufactures will be participating.

On October 20 and 21, the Japan Motorsport Promotion Organization will host “Motorsport Japan 2012” – an event that aims to promote motorsport in Japan - in the Odaiba area. The Odaiba Festival 2012 will liaise with this event, which will no doubt contribute to making exciting weeks in the Odaiba area this autumn.

Details of the event will be announced on September 20, 2012.
