(JABIA)<br \/>\nJapan Automotive Machinery and Tool Manufacturers Association (JAMTA)<\/p>\n<ul class=\"flex_list ai_middle jc_center\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jama.or.jp\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/release\/docs\/release\/2020\/20200529_01.png\" alt=\"JAMA - Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc.\" width=\"152\" height=\"56\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.japia.or.jp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/release\/docs\/release\/2020\/20200529_02.png\" alt=\"JAPIA - Japan Auto Parts Industries Association \n\n\" width=\"202\" height=\"58\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jabia.or.jp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/release\/docs\/release\/2020\/20200529_03.png\" width=\"118\" height=\"110\" alt=\"JABIA - Japan Auto-Body Industries Association inc.\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamta.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/release\/docs\/release\/2020\/20200529_04.png\" width=\"139\" height=\"92\" alt=\"JAMTA - JAPAN AUTOMOTIVE MACHINERY AND TOOL MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At a joint conference on April 10, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (Chairman: Akio Toyoda), the Japan Auto Parts Industries Association (Chairman: Shinichi Odo), the Japan Auto-Body Industries Association (Chairman: Shohei Kimura), and the Japan Automotive Machinery and Tool Manufacturers Association (Chairman: Osamu Tsuji) expressed their determination as pillars of the automobile industry to contribute to the fight against and recovery from the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>The automobile industry is making concerted efforts to be of optimal assistance to those, including medical personnel, on the front lines of the battle against COVID-19 and is also committed to protecting the human resources and the technology needed to safeguard Japan&#8217;s manufacturing infrastructure, through a mutually supportive framework adopted by our industries. <\/p>\n<p>Applying their manufacturing and logistical know-how and taking advantage of their global supply chains, our four associations&#8217; member companies are, as a first step, pursuing measures that include the production and supply of personal protective equipment and other sanitary goods needed in medical care; support in the improvement of medical equipment manufacturers&#8217; productivity; and the supply of vehicles for the transport of infected persons. (See <a href=\"#attachment\">attachment<\/a> for details.)<\/p>\n<p>In addition, new support measures are being examined for implementation predicated on a precise understanding of the needs of individual regions and on the use of the technologies applied by our respective member companies.<\/p>\n<p>A dedicated <a href=\"\/industry_group\/covid19\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> (in Japanese only) also provides an explanation of the measures being pursued at present by our associations&#8217; member companies.
