The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (JAMA) is pleased to announce the \u201cUniversity Campus Visiting Lecturers Series 2019,\u201d a program organized in collaboration with universities around Japan, in which speakers are dispatched from JAMA member companies to deliver special presentations at those institutions.<\/p>\n

The twin goals of this lecture series are to foster interest in automobiles and motorcycles and to promote a deeper understanding of the automotive industry and manufacturing among young people. Inaugurated in fiscal 2013, the program this year marks the series\u2019 seventh edition, with more than 25,000 people on 40 campuses having attended to date. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In this series, CEOs and other top executives at Japanese automakers visit university campuses to speak and dialogue face to face with students about the unique appeal of automobiles and motorcycles and the vital importance of Japan\u2019s manufacturing sector. The program has been a resounding success and has obtained positive evaluations from the majority of its attendees, who have affirmed \u201ca growing interest in automobiles and motorcycles\u201d as a result of their participation.<\/p>\n

In talks covering a wide range of topics including cutting-edge technologies and global industry strategies, this year\u2019s speakers will discuss the fundamental appeal of and enjoyment provided by automobiles and motorcycles, as well as the crucial role and ever-growing significance of Japanese manufacturing.<\/p>\n

It is hoped that this series of talks will spark the interest of many young people in automobiles, motorcycles, and manufacturing, leading to a large presence of this demographic at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show 2019, opening on October 24.<\/p>\n

Media representatives are kindly requested to proactively cover JAMA initiatives, including this visiting lecturers series, which aim to add new vigor to the domestic market, and to help convey the appeal of automobiles and motorcycles to the general public. Their cooperation in this regard will be appreciated.<\/p>\n

The University Campus Visiting Lecturers Series 2019 is a \u201cTokyo 2020 Support Program\u201d recognized by the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
