(JAMA) has posted e-learning content on the JAMA website to promote increased public awareness of fuel-efficient ecodriving practices.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2016, Japan\u2019s Cabinet endorsed a \u201cPlan for Global Warming Countermeasures.\u201d One measure for automobiles outlined in the plan calls for the reduction of CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions through fuel-efficient ecodriving, and both the government and JAMA are promoting ecodriving practices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb40\">In 2017, an animated video* (in Japanese only) aimed at promoting ecodriving among younger drivers was published on the JAMA website. <\/p>\n<ul class=\"flex_list jc_center ai_middle flex_none\">\n<li><strong>*Let&#8217;s Try Ecodriving<\/strong><br \/>\n\uff08<a href=\"\/operation\/ecology\/eco-drive\/eco_drive\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.jama.or.jp\/operation\/ecology\/eco-drive\/eco_drive\/index.html<\/a>\uff09<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/operation\/ecology\/eco-drive\/eco_drive\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/release\/docs\/release\/2019\/20190527_01.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"83\" alt=\"Let's Try Ecodriving\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"mt20\">To promote more widespread awareness and encourage the adoption of fuel-efficient ecodriving practices, JAMA has now created \u201cEcodriving e-Learning Content: The Quiz and the Game\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/jama-eco-drive.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/jama-eco-drive.com<\/a>). <\/p>\n<ul class=\"flex_list jc_center\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/jama-eco-drive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/release\/docs\/release\/2019\/20190527_02.png\" alt=\"Ecodriving e-Learning Content: The Quiz and the Game\" width=\"298\" height=\"120\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/jama-eco-drive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/release\/docs\/release\/2019\/20190527_05_qrcode.png\" width=\"120\" height=\"120\" alt=\"QR Code\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"image_clm2 ai_middle mt20\">\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/release\/docs\/release\/2019\/20190527_03.png\" width=\"367\" height=\"221\" alt=\"The Quiz\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"ta_center\"><strong class=\"fs_x\">The Quiz<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/release\/docs\/release\/2019\/20190527_04.png\" width=\"331\" height=\"146\" alt=\"The Game\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"ta_center\"><strong class=\"fs_x\">The Game<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The e-learning content (in Japanese only) is based on the previously released animated video.  The quiz, whose questions quiz takers can reply to on their smartphones and computers, enables them to learn about fuel-efficient ecodriving and global warming (providing, for example, an overview of the Paris Agreement and of energy-saving measures that can be adopted at home), while the game engages individual players in a competition of their ecodriving skills.<\/p>\n<div class=\"border_box\">\n<p>A sample quiz question:<br \/>\n\t\t\t  Q. If your car is carrying a heavy load, will its fuel efficiency be affected?<\/p>\n<div class=\"ta_center\">\n              \t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/release\/docs\/release\/2019\/20190527_eng_answers.jpg\" width=\"720\" height=\"146\" alt=\"answers\"\/ >\n              <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This e-learning content has been published on the JAMA website and is also set to be posted on the websites of related industry associations, to optimize its viewership.  In this way, JAMA intends to promote even greater awareness of fuel-efficient ecodriving practices.<\/p>\n<p>For reference:<\/p>\n<p>The Paris Agreement was ratified in 2017 by the Japanese government, which has established a greenhouse gas emissions reduction target of 26% below 2013 emission levels by 2030; Japan\u2019s transport sector will aim to reduce CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions by approximately 28% within the same time frame.
