Japanese Automakers' Overseas Production Statistics:
First Quarter of 2014 and Cumulative Fiscal 2013
Overseas vehicle production by Japanese automakers in the first quarter of calendar year 2014 totalled 4,317,170 units, an increase of 2.7% from the same quarter in the previous year. This outcome reflects their expanded local production worldwide, except in Asia and Oceania, during the quarter under review.
Fiscal year 2013 (ending March 31, 2014) saw a growth in overseas production in all regions worldwide except Africa, with the total output of 16,871,224 units that year representing an increase of 6.3% over fiscal 2012.
