Japanese Automakers’ Overseas Production Statistics:
Third Quarter of 2014, Three Quarters Cumulative, Calendar 2014
Overseas vehicle production by Japanese automakers during the third quarter of calendar year 2014 totaled 4,269,865 units, a gain of 5.9% from the same quarter in the previous year. This outcome reflects expanded local production in all overseas regions, with the exception of the Europe and Oceania areas, during the quarter under review.
The growth in local production worldwide is also reflected in the cumulative total for January 2014 through September 2014, which stands at 12,980,730 units, up 5.0% from the same three-quarter period in 2013.
