Japanese Automakers’ Overseas Production Statistics:
Fourth Quarter of 2014 & Annual Total, Calendar 2014
Overseas vehicle production by Japanese automakers during the fourth quarter of calendar year 2014 totaled 4,495,318 units, a gain of 2.4% from the same quarter in the previous year. This outcome reflects expanded local production in all overseas regions, with the exception of the Asia, Africa and Oceania areas, during the quarter under review.
The growth in local production worldwide is also reflected in the cumulative total for January 2014 through December 2014, which stands at 17,476,219 units, up 4.3% from the yearly total for calendar 2013.
